Poker machines exist in Licenced premises all over New Zealand, and the main justification for having them there, is that they eventually provide charity funds to different community based projects.

However, given that a lot of the profits generated by poker machine players, are generated from the pockets of those who can least afford to try to win money, this is hurting those who need to have the money stay in their pockets.

I propose that Poker Machines only be licenced to be used in Casino licenced premises, and that those current recipients of charitable funds approach the usual channels such as Lotto and other sponsors for additional funding
