Policy Status : Suggested
That the Govt revisit the packaging of Cigarettes to require that Better and more useful warnings to be put onto packets

Cigarettes are still too accessible, and i feel easily escaped from.
This is not to make it harder for smokers, but harder for people to think about starting, and if thinking about stopping to perhaps provide more tools to enable doing so. (being a smoker myself, this is a daily unaccomplished task for 40 years or so)

Labeling to have more practical information on cigarettes eg

  1. (Extrapolate the costs), A pack a day at $30 per day = NZ$10,,950 - To earn in the pocket $10,920 means have to earn over $13,500 before tax. How many months do you need to work, to earn that much, to support this "Habit"
  2. Wait ten minutes. before lighting up... wait ten more... repeat moves one and two.
  3. Smoking causes constant aggravation of your body cells, it is this constant aggravation of your cells, which will lead to diseases such as cancer, hardening of the arteries. Stop the aggravation !!
